FAQ

What is included in the Baby Birth Photograph Experience?

Two Sessions are given for the entire process. First we will have a maternity Session of 1 -2 hours at your home or at a outside location at the 8 to 9 month period.

I will be on-call for your birth which we will have planned 3 to 4 weeks prior to your due date.

At the hospital with the permission of your doctors, I will do as much or as little during the birth process that you prefer. Remember that this moment is to catch the most intimate of details of THE BIRTH. I want to capture the first breath, first cry, first weight taken, first bath and most importantly your bonding time with your brand new baby and family.

This is a once in a life time moment which you want to have done correctly and in the best way possible. I will be there to document the highlights of the baby entering the world and then show that baby off in the most wonderful album, slide show and images that you could imagine. (see my Pricing Page for all options)

When is the ideal time to take my Maternity photos?

The closer to your due date the better. I've found that anything before 8 to 9 months does not quite capture the beauty of your belly as a later term shoot would.

When is the best time to photograph a newborn?

The sooner the better! Under two weeks old is ideal as they are not as easily disturbed while they sleep.

What can I do to prepare my child for the photo shoot?

I ask that your kids be well rested, fed and in good spirits. Please feel free to bring a favorite toy or music to help them relax. If your child is not feeling well I advise that you reschedule so that we can capture your child at their best. I also prefer that only the parents come to the shoot as to not have too many distractions; distractions can limit the success of the session.

Why do you ask that I set aside a 2 hour block on the day of the Shoot?

Taking natural un-posed pictures takes time. Children need time to connect with the photographer so they feel at ease during the shoot.

Can I pick the location?

Absolutely! As an "on location" photographer, I am more than happy to travel to the sight of your choice. (Areas outside of New Hampshire and Boston are subject to mileage rates)

How soon will I receive the prints I've ordered?

You can expect your prints within two weeks of your ordering on-line. Albums, coffee table books and canvases take 6-8 weeks.

Can I order Prints from you even after the proofing session?

Yes, All prints ordered are archived for minimum of one year. All unordered prints will be purged after 6 weeks.

When is payment due?

On the day of the session you will be asked to pay the remainder of the session fee. Payment must be made before the session begins. Images are all uploaded on-line for your proofing and ordering in the privacy of your home. Baby Shower Gift Certificate payments are due at due at time of purchase.

Upon booking your appointment you will be asked to pay a $100.00 non-refundable retainer fee to hold your session date. The retainer fee will be applied to your session fee.
